  • The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24796 you purchased is a confirmed fit for your 2012 Nissan Altima. What more than likely happened is the hitch was slightly deformed due to being flexed during shipping. • Troubleshooting Curt Trailer Wiring Harness # C56285 that Turn Signals Don't Work
  • Typically with T-one style trailer wiring harness like the part # C56285 with issues like this fix is to just disconnect and reconnect the connectors which ensures the pins end up fully seated. Otherwise you'll need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test for voltage on input side of box and output. If input is there but nothing on output the issue is the converter box is shorted out.

  • Vibrations In Mirror After Installing K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors On Toyota Tundra
  • The only thing that I can think to check on the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors part # KS70103-04T that would cause vibrations while driving is the mounting hardware. The mirrors are secured with three bolts per side so I recommend removing the cover panel inside and checking that these bolts are tight. I have attached a video for you that shows how the panel is removed. If this issue still persist, you might want to re-install the factory mirrors and then use the K-Source Snap...

  • No Power to Trailer Plug on 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
  • If you suddenly loose power to all trailer lights then that usually points to a blown fuse/fuses. I checked the owner's manual for a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport to locate these fuses, the two that I found were #15 (Blue 15 Amp) and #54 (Blue 15 Amp). If these fuses both check out then you'd want to confirm the issue is on the vehicle and not the trailer by using a circuit tester on each of the pins on the vehicle side. If there's still no power you'd have to take the vehicle into...

  • Solution for Furrion Camera Power and Trailer Tail Light Power on 2022 Chevy Silverado
  • It would be nice if the Curt # C57003 would take care of both problems, but it does not solve the PWM (pulse width modulation) problem which results in the lack of power to your Furrion camera. However, using the # FR87PR should take care of both issues for you.

  • Troubleshooting Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller Not Powering On 2019 Ford Ranger
  • It sounds like there may be an issue with the fuse or wiring on your 2019 Ford Ranger. When we installed the Curt Echo # C51180 on a 2019 Ford Ranger in our shop(see video below) it was plug and play installation. First I recommend verifying you have power on your charge line with a Test Light # PTW2993 so you know if the Echo is defective. If no power on 7-way charge line you will want to verify all your trailer fuses and relays are in place and in good condition. If all the fuses and...

  • Troubleshooting Left Side Tail Light Not Working on Trailer With 2017 Infiniti QX60
  • The blinking on the # I26 is actually correct. It doesn't make sense that the right turn signal blinks on the left and the left blinks to the right of the right turn signal light (it even sounds confusing) but that is how it's designed. You can see this in our review video below. Based on the fact that this is working correctly it could still be the trailer side. Take a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 and check to see if you have power right behind the trailer side connector. If you...

  • Replacement Adhesive Tape For Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob
  • I recommend removing the adhesive tape sent with the Curt Spectrum # C51170. You will need to locate some 3M Exterior rated double sided adhesive from either a local hardware store or auto parts store. You will be able to cut this tape to fit the mounting base. Be sure to use some 3M cleaner/primer to prepare both surfaces for the tape to give it the best adhesion.

  • Troubleshooting Error Code A01 of Blue Ox Patriot
  • The Blue Ox Patriot you have is an older version but the A01 is an internal problem. It would have to get sent to Blue Ox directly but due to age of the unit and we are two versions newer at this point it will probably be time to upgrade to the current version which is # BLU37TR.

  • Troubleshooting Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller Blowing Fuse on 2023 VW Atlas With Factory 7-Way
  • It sounds as though the Curt Echo # C51180 along with the power draw from your trailer is overloading the circuit on your 2023 VW Atlas with the factory tow package. You may be able to resolve your issues by checking to see what other circuits are drawing power from your 7-way and disconnecting those that are not necessary. As an alternative since you are able to use a Wiring Adapter # C29JR to install a brake controller you can mount the Curt Assure # C49UR to your dash. Or we do have...

  • Why Does My SuperWinch LT2000 Only Work In One Direction?
  • If your Superwinch LT2000 only works in one direction then the relay that powers the winch has gone bad or it is dirty. I recommend trying to clean the connectors first and check again for functionality. If cleaning the contacts does not solve your problem, then I recommend replacing your entire relay with the: -Bulldog Winch Replacement Relay - 60/80A - 14V DC, 5-prong plug # BDW20101. After the relay is swapped out you should notice your winch working properly again.

  • Troubleshooting Check Trailer Brake Wire Error Code On Truck
  • I'm not entirely sure what the possible causes of your error code would be since I don't know what truck you have, but it sounds like there is an issue with the brake output wire for the brakes. If you checked the wire on your truck and trailer and don't have any issues I would also check your vehicle and trailer connections. A short in the wire, loose connections, bad connections, corrosion, all of these could cause a problem. You could also use a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to...

  • Troubleshooting A Dutton-Lanison StrongArm Power Winch That Is Not Working At All
  • Since you mentioned you're not getting 12v power to your Dutton-Lanison StrongArm power winch like the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch w/ Remote # DL25532, you may want to start by checking the battery, and the connection of the wiring harness to the battery. Ensure that the red connector at the end of the wiring harness is securely snapped into the winch, and that all four wires going into this connection is clean and secure. If this isn't solving your problem, check the entire...

  • Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System Not Charging Towed Vehicle Battery
  • If the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System, # HM39530 is failing to charge the battery in your Jeep while under tow, your RV may not have continuous 12 Volt DC charging on the 7 way connector. I suggest looking for a loose connection that is causing failure of continuity with movement. You'll want to check the pin at 1 o'clock when looking at the RV's receptacle using a circuit tester like the # PTW2993. If this shows to be the issue, you will want to add the charge line kit,...

  • Replacement Converter Charger Recommendation For A Magnetek Series 900 Model 940-2
  • Since you don't have batteries in your 1995 NuWa RV, this indicates to me that your converter is the source of your issue. Your next course of action should be to replace your current converter. Since you mentioned that you have the Magnetek Series 900 Model 940-2, you can use the: -Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger # PD9260C as a replacement. This converter charger has a rated output of 810 watts, an amperage output of 60A, and measures 9-1/8"...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Error When Using Curt Echo Under-Dash Controller on 2020 Honda Ridgeline
  • Thank you for all of the info! The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 just requires the trailer lights and 12V power pin to operate properly but the Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller # C27JR and Custom Wiring Adapter # C51392 require your 2020 Honda Ridgeline to have the tow package so all of the wiring exists on your 7-Way - especially the brake control pin in the 5 o'clock position (see attached). If you grab a tester and put it on that pin and then apply...

  • Troubleshooting Squeaking On Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack
  • Since I'm not entirely sure where the squeaking is coming from on your # PS1401000303, I would say start by following the maintenance in the manual. Since this is a topwind jack you want to apply a lightweight oil to the screw stem on the top. Adding grease is not a part of the maintenance for topwind models. If you add oil and that doesn't fix it you could try inserting grease from the bottom of the jack and spread it on the jack screw. If that doesn't fix it or it continues to get worse...

  • Troubleshooting Tank Pad Heaters That Arent Operating
  • The thermostat is built into the pads of the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad w/ Thermostat # 277-000163. Your idea to put ice on the pads to simulate it being cold isn't bad. It sounds to me like you may not have the correct amount of voltage running to the pads (they require 13.5V DC). I recommend using a multimeter # PT89ZR to ensure your getting adequate voltage to the pads. If not then I would call LaSalle Bristol for a warranty replacement.

  • If you went through the recalibration process on your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System w Touchpad and Remote - 6-Point Set # LC675817 and the middle legs still aren't properly activating then I would first check that they have 12v DC power running to them with a multimeter # PT89ZR. If they're getting less or no power then we know the cause is the power source or maybe some damaged wiring. If power isn't the issue then it could be the touchpad # LC421484...

  • Troubleshooting A Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack That Only Extends
  • If the Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack # LC643589 was working before mounting and will only extend after being mounted then it leads me to believe that the ground connection isn't good. I recommend disconnecting your ground wire from wherever you currently have it and crimp on a new ring terminal and use a self-tapping screw to mount it directly to the frame of the trailer.
