The only thing that I can think to check on the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors part # KS70103-04T that would cause vibrations while driving is the mounting hardware. I checked the owner's manual for a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport to locate these fuses, the two that I found were #15 (Blue 15 Amp) and #54 (Blue 15 Amp). You will need to locate some 3M Exterior rated double sided adhesive from either a local hardware store or auto parts store. You will be able to cut this tape to fit the mounting base. Since I'm not entirely sure where the squeaking is coming from on your # PS1401000303, I would say start by following the maintenance in the manual. Since this is a topwind jack you want to apply a lightweight oil to the screw stem on the top. Adding grease is not a part of the maintenance for topwind models.

The thermostat is built into the pads of the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad w/ Thermostat # 277-000163. Your idea to put ice on the pads to simulate it being cold isn't bad.
